Push By:Sapphire
My junior year in high school my English teacher had me pick a book to read and tell her what I thought about it. So I read Push based on a novel by Sapphire. She writes about an African American girl that is abused by her mother and raped by her father. She is six-teen years old and still in junior high, precious has a baby girl with Down syndrome and she is pregnant with another (both from her father). She is kicked out of school and is really worried what she’s going to do, or how she’s going to raise her family. She is recommended to go get her G.E.D and get her life back on track, and give her kids the life they deserve. My opinion on this book is AWESOM! It’s very inspiring and my advice to others is to read the book before you watch the movie!
