“Lacrosse: legally beating men with sticks since the 17th century”. This is what most people first think about when you say something about lacrosse. Its either questions like “ can you just hit people with your sticks” or “ do you just lay people out?” yes you can hit with your stick but no you can't just lay people out.

Lacrosse is a very athletic and active game. It's not like football or baseball where you kind of get little breaks in between plays or a pitch. It's a fast game the whole 4 quarters.

Lacrosse starts off with a Face off. One player from each team goes to the very middle of the field and get on a knee. THey have to push the net in and turn the stick back words and once the whistle is blown the two players fight for the ball.

Name of position:

There are 4 positions in lacrosse. 10 players from each team out there at once. There's goalie but everyone knows what that is all they do is make sure the ball does not go in there goal and if they save it they do whatever they can to get the ball off that side of the field. Then there's defense, and they have 6ft lacrosse sticks to make it easier to defend the office. There is 3 defenders and a goalie on that side of the field and they are not allowed to cross midfield, unless someone from the other side of the field switches but you must cross the line at the same time. On the other side of the field is offense and that's what i do. They are called attackman and they just play offense. There are also 3 attackman on the field just like there are 3 defenders. The only time the attackman play defense is when someone shoots it and the goalie saves it so you have to turn around and play defense and try to get the ball back. Then there's the middies. The middes are the ones that run in the whole game. They can be on either side of the field at any time. If we were on defense we should have 3 defenders, 3 middies, and a goalie and the 3 attackman should be on the other side of the field. You must have at least 3 guys on either side of the field at all times

For as long as i have played lacrosse, i still get made fun of for it. Yes i understand its not a mainstream sport, but its my favorite sport. You can ask anyone on the team or any other team how they feel about lacrosse. They will they it is their favorite sport. Guaranteed
