In "My Coming Out," Izzy Penston describes the multiple times she came out as pansexual. She begins by defining pansexuality as "attraction regardless of gender" and compares it to bisexuality, which is attraction to only males and females. Izzy goes on to explain the first time she revealed that she was pansexual, stating it was to her best friend. The second and third times were to her family and classmates.

Though Izzy's experience with coming out was brief, that isn't always case. Many LGBT teenagers struggle with discovering themselves and having others, especially loved ones, accept them. I enjoyed Izzy's story, as it detailed what coming out should be like.
