“Voicebox” by Angela Cao is a brilliant poem that left me speechless, choked on the words I wanted to utter about the concept. The idea of one's voice, the words one may say, being compared to a cigarette is very relatable for me. I am one who often regrets the words I spill.

I especially love the line “and it tastes like burnt regret.” This is powerful for me because of the dark imagery and the way it left me with a lingering taste of smoke in my mouth.
