The writing titled What’s Broken, written by Miles P., talks about the MSDHS shooting. His writing left me feeling sad. I agree how heartbreaking it was and how we all need to stand up for others and say something. Knowing these kids are gone because of a kid that shot them is hard to take in. I understand and not surprised. I know it happens to a lot of schools in the US but nothing is on TV because it happens so much. I think it is written well, the arguments are written well too. I am confused on some of what they say in the text. I don’t think the shootings are based on racism for African Americans like it said in the text “Black and brown teens, kids, and adults,” and “They are shot every day because of racism.” I think that was the part I was confused on.
