If death is inevitable, why does pain come along with it? We know it will occur; we prepare for it our whole lives. Why is it in our nature to release adrenocorticotrophin, the grief hormone which is debatably the unhealthiest substance a healthy human body releases, rendering us vulnerable to fatal diseases such as heart cancer? If there is a god why has he allowed us pain? Is it because we caused the death of our loved ones? Is intelligence worth it if grief exists only to contradict it rendering it not a blessing, but a curse?
