Poetry Contest: A Haiku by You!

This one is for all of those aspiring poets out there! Do you love writing and sharing your poetry? This is your chance to potentially be published in Teen Ink magazine! 

Teen Ink is seeking out your best haikus for the December 2021 issue of Teen Ink! The top 8 nominees and the winner will be featured in our digital magazine. The winner will also receive a $25 Amazon gift card! 

Deadline: September 30th, 2021. 

Guidelines: 

• Haikus should follow a traditional 3-line (5-7-5 syllable) format
• Teen Ink will only consider entries by teens
• No inappropriate content
• All themes are welcome (but, if you need a theme, the December 2021 issue is focused on Making a Difference!)
• There is no limit to the number of haikus you can submit!
• Be creative; test your limits; use your fantastic poet skills!

Submissions:

• Submit entries through our website. All entries submitted to Teen Ink are automatically considered for the haiku contest. See our submission guidelines for more information.
• To make sure your submissions are included in the contest, include "Haiku 2021 Contest" in the first part of your submission’s title (e.g., Haiku 2021 Contest: The Life).
• You will be published and your haiku will be featured in Teen Ink magazine!
