The slimy stone will lie at the calm water’s edge
Moistened air creates droplets on the face
Paths intertwining lead me to a ledge
The awe perplexes a nature embrace

The days draw on as summer speaks slowly
Salmon strive to reach the high ground to mate
Mountains roar on the clouds, appearing holy
Here, life can forever regenerate

In this beauty however, cold creeps in
The glaciers are everlasting glamor
The chilling air makes land appear like sin
People that flee give natives some humor

The last frontier, so near, yet far to me
Alaskan atmosphere sets my mind free.
