I think of him

But he always walks away

I think of the sun

But night always take away day

 

How can I focus

On one thing

If that one thing

Keeps leaving me

 

I'll tell myself

He's not the one

Atleast I have my friend who always comes back

The sun

 

It helps me see the good

And takes away the pain

It makes my days so much brighter

When they're grey

 

Now I can see

What I need

Now I know

Love isn't for me

 

Now the boat that is my life

I can steer

Now my mind

Is clear

 

Now I can

Focus

Beautiful poem! I can definitely relate to it :) I love your idea of the sun being your friend, and even though each night takes it away, he always comes back. I also thought the way you ended the poem was perfect. It's almost as if the reader is able to watch your mind clear and your thoughts come in to focus. So points for style on that! Thanks for posting :)
