There are lifeless plants
in the death of fall,
they die at nature's call,
they have no choice or chance,
but kids still dance
in piled leaves so tall,
and winter comes like a wall,
and the plants stand dead in a trance

Spring comes slow
and from the ground plants sprout,
life comes as death quits,
and in spring, the wind blows,
the bugs, and the animals come out,
and winter submits

My piece comes from my deep fascination of nature and the seasons. My piece show the harsh realities of the seasons and how they affect life both human and plant. I live in a place where there is a drought so plant death is abundant.
