Rhapsody, a never ending doorway-
Leads united directly to my heart.
Unleashing emotions once found astray;
Undreamt, such a thing could pull me apart.
Leaving me bare, insecure and deprived
And yet, it gives me strength in ways unseen.
In a way, lost but freshened and revived;
Indescribable potency foreseen.
Eyes fixed, I lay amazed, baffled by fact.
A small thing capable of such powers?
Such a small thing applies such an impact?
I, sinfully prone- it just devours.
Searching for something, searching for a key.
Lost but now found within sweet rhapsody.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece to express the way music has changed my life. I believe that this perfectly describes how even just one song can change the way you feel about something or put a name to a specific memory. I think that a lot of teens can relate to this as it is such an important factor in my life.
