As I admire you from afar,
I wonder, hope fills my heart.
As I plead, I ask, “Please don’t char
my heart, I can’t stand to be apart.”
Notice me, I’m here, right near you,
waiting for what seems like forever,
for you to talk. This concept may be new.
Tell me, whom do you fancy? Me? Never?
After I seem to squeak out my words,
I dread I may have left a wrong imprint,
for when I’m around you, my words become herds
of birds that fly from my mouth, but I hope you get my hint.
I’m so completely enveloped in your demeanor.
Though none of this you’ll ever know, I think they call it “Love Fever.”
