I am beyond thankful for the woman who gave me life.

She is a wonderful mother and a gorgeous wife.

During the day, she helps people from natural disasters,

And she helps build houses and talks to broadcasters

Her job is in Baton Rouge, so she drives everyday 

From the Westbank all the way to the spillway.

When she gets home from her busy day at work, 

She starts to crack jokes that always makes me smirk.

She comes home late and still shows her pretty smile,

A smile so big that it will make your day worthwhile.

She is always there to give me advice and support

About all the things like boys and sort.

From the moment that I came out of the womb,

My mom put me into dance class with a costume

She is a true dance mom going to every event,

Watching me and supporting me one hundred percent

She is always asking what I am doing on the weekend

And wondering if I ever got a boyfriend.

She is so nosy and always in my business,

And there is no doubt that I always look suspicious. 

I see her try to be happy for her children,

But she tries to keep her real emotions hidden.

She works hard everyday to keep us happy,

And I tend to yell at her and get snappy

I wish I could show her how much she means to me

Because she is everything a mother should be. 

My mom is my best friend and so much more.

I love my mom, and she is the one that I adore.
