You’ve the brilliance of a blazing star
over which it’s too easy to obsess.
Intoxicatingly golden you are
like the sun, impossible to posses.
Past hopeless, the blind romantic that’s me…
the tortured poet trapped inside my head
is taken beyond rationality.
and has confessed every word I have said.
When making things into more than they are
in time, they will become more than they were.
Realness and image are apart so far
the truth of you is a bright golden blur.
I am doomed to perpetually hold true
romance I gave to the image of you.
