I can see the end in sight
And I wish that we’d never get that far
I wanted to believe in us
I wanted you to see it too
But now you’re gone
I feel like I’m going farther on my own, than I ever was with you
I’m standing on my own two feet,
Better than you thought of me
And I can make it without you
Better than I was before
And better than I’ll ever be
You were just my disease,
which I thought had no cure

I was really surprised by how quickly I could write all of it, but then I realized how much it was all true.
This song is about a guy I once thought I knew and about how I'm finally moving on and I'm ready to start making a better life for myself.
