Pomegranate Tree

You were so weak,
Abandoned in the soil,
But you struggled,
Towards that dream
Of touching the clear blue sky
Like a Redwood tree.
You finally grew
Into a tree
But you could never touch the sky.
For nature made you a pomegranate tree.
But all is not lost
For you can bear a fruit
Made of glistening red rubies
