Grains of sand, beached on the cosmos’ shore, glare through my window.
Blankets of dusk conceal the naked, silent roads ahead.
Sirens blare, red and blue flash. I pull over, “Miss, you were speeding.”

This is written in a Korean poetic form called sijo.
