Sing muse
Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story
About a girl of a shattered home slowly, piece by piece, glue herself together
To eventually shine through her dried cracks.
Knowing that words should never hurt her
But how others used them in shapes of stones
Being thrown at her, armorless and vulnerable.
However, the scar tissue left behind made armor in itself and
She began to let the stones bounce off and become invincible.
Sing, Muse, how she rose despite the language, transforming into woman of light.
Now, she is able to let her light shine before others so they can see the good,
Rather than the broken that she has been mending.
How she doesn’t have to pretend wear her bright smile, and her wide eyes
Masking what she used to feel inside, but they are actually real.
Muse, let this story inspire other broken ones to shine despite all obstacles.
