Speak for Yourself
Coach. Entrepreneur. National Chess Master.
I don’t have a 9 to 5, I have a 24/7.
My daily schedule has been a packed suitcase
Helping me pursue my passion
There are times where I feel like time goes by faster than it used to
Even though I value it so much more now
Filling up my drawers are business magazines and stacks of chess books
Filling up my soul is a desire to make use of all that I have learned
Positional and strategic play was long my achilles heel at the chess board
Just as traveling cross-country alone for competitions was my kryptonite for the longest time.
My headset may be my most valuable possession
Connecting me to the students I never thought I would have
Receiving a scholarship validated all my hard work up to this point
But maintaining it may be the toughest task
Four far years from now I hope I’m still as ambitious as the person I’ve now become
And continue to appreciate those who have been there for me all along
I am happy I am healthy I am successful
I hope it stays that way in Texas
