Wake-
To leave your sleep
and enter the world again.
Sometimes startled by a shaking hand,
eyes squint in the bright light.
Sometimes gradually descending
a staircase back to reality.

Your-
Something you posses or own:
Your life,
Your personality,
Your secrets.

Dreams-
The adventures of your sleep,
only to be dissolved by morning light.
What you wish for,
but don’t have.
At least not yet.
