She loathed
The anticipated agony
That seeped into her
Like black ambrosia
On crushed ice
However-
She despised gravity
For forcing it
To drain out-
Yellowing,
Poisoning,
Smoldering bones
While pirouetting down
Her wispy cotton self
Bound together
With calico magnolias
Once traced
By hopeful fingers
