That scarf was all I had left of you
Red and dark and lovely
I left it on the train with my gloves too
Boston to New York has never been so cold
Grand Central Station has never looked so old
Golden clock, centennial banners
Bridal dress, wedding planners
They shuffle around and shove me without any manners
This poem is all I have left of you
I guess I must forget that too
