he has thick red hair and
black-framed glasses and
tattooed biceps and
he went to war with a fire in his belly and
a passion and
an angry dream and
when he came home it was gone all gone and
he just looked tired and
by god, he was only nineteen and
when he left he had a bright streak of purple hair and
by the time he came home it was gone and
i suppose that's what happens to boys in
the navy
