Why cant we be family again
we used to be always friends
we used to huddled together
whenever we got scared
We used to protect each other
we used to defend one each other
we used to stand together like brother and sister
when mom punished us we would all resist her
We used to be family
a family that sat down together and ate
we used to have family full of our ideas
we used to get along without debate
Why cant family be family again
and throw away the hate away
why cant family be family again
and invite the love to stay
