I once dreamed about a world, not this world we live in now, but a different world, a world where bad things didn’t happen to good people…

I once dreamed about a world where people didn’t steal out of greed, a world where people were honest and hard working…

I once dreamed about a world where money wasn’t everything, a world where money didn’t decide if a person is cool or not, if someone gets to see another day…

I once dreamed about a world where people could be happy and loved, a world where people are treated as equals…

I once dreamed about a world where there were no murderers, rapists, or thieves, a world where we kind to one another…

I once dreamed about a world where children could go play on the street and their parents didn’t have to worry about them getting hurt, or something happening to them…

I once dreamed about a world where politicians weren’t corrupt, and actually wanted to help their community and the country …

I once dreamed about a world where religious and scientific beliefs didn’t cause fights and even wars…

I once dreamed about a world where parents weren’t abusive to their children…

I once dreamed about a world where kids could just be kids, and not have to ponder on when is the next time they will get to eat…

And then I woke up and realized which world it was I lived in, and now all I can do is go back to dreaming about this time I once dreamed about a world.

My inspiration for this piece actually came from watching the news... as i was watching all i saw was tragedy. It really made me look at the world and the society we live in, and how it's absurd. So i started thinking about all these things that would make the world so much better and i realized that these thoughts of mine where unrealistic in the society we live in today.
