Why Don't you Want me to Run Against you?

Listen for a sec
I know you don’t want me to run, but why?
Last time I checked,
You had more votes than me
And I was about to cry.
Not really though, I’m fine
But don’t expect me to resign
Just ‘cause I like you, bro
Just ‘cause I trust you, yo
So you have no idea, do you?
What I would do for you,
What I would sacrifice,
How I would pay the price,
So what kind of advice
Will you give me when I give up?
Will you just tell me it’s good that I stopped,
And that I did the right thing
Just so you can win and be the king.
So what do I gain in the end?
Nothing, of course,
Because no matter how hard I try
You never see why
I only do what you tell me to do.
I’m kinda like a puppet on a string,
You move me around and make me do things.
I give and you take,
But make no mistake,
I don’t hate you for that
I’m just pissed, just that.
I won’t run in the election and ruin your chance to be king,
If you tell me something:
Why do you barely talk to me,
But you talk more with the others?
Are they more like your sisters and brothers
Or am I just different,
Like some species that’s just been discovered?
Or is that you don’t trust me?
‘Cause you really confuse me.
You play with my emotions,
Like they’re just toys in motion.
But I just laugh, so I’d mask the commotion.
I’m all bottled up, like 7up,
So if you open me, I’ll explode and cause an explosion.
You know I’m shy,
But you don’t know why.
It’s ‘cause of my past, of course,
And it’s filled with remorse,
‘Cause I always did stupid things that I regret,
That I want to forget,
That I wish I could reset to
So I can delete them and get them
Out of sight
Out of mind.
Listen, sorry I wrote too much,
So I hope you understand…
Enjoy this poem while you can

This is about how one of my friends wants me to drop out of the campaign so that he wins by default.
