They came up and laughed at my friend
Didn't say anything cause I'm not black
They made fun of her brother's face
Didn't say anything cause my brother isn't handicapped
They made her feel gross and disgusting
Didn't say anything cause I can take a bath everyday
Said they were better than my friend
Didn't say anything, my parents are of the same race
When they laughed, made fun of, made me feel gross, disgusting, and said they were better than me.
No one said anything.

wow! thats really heartwrenching, and very well done. people like that in life are not worth the effort or the time. never let words from people like that get to you because they're meaningless. i love this poem and how it reflects what the people thought. but at the same time, i think maybe accidentally? it also truly shows what those mean people truly are. please, take a look at some of my poetry:)
