"When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile."

I lost the love I wanted
If only it were ever mine
I shed the tear he dried tenderly
Were I lucky enough to feel his touch
A single crack in the glass

I wrote a secret love song
For an angel that never fell
I dreamt of a fairytale soon lost
To rejection that was never found
A single stain on the glass

I bled love onto torn pages
A contract he never signed
I whispered the words then forgotten
In a breath he and I never shared
A single mistake in the glass

I held a disappeared lover
And felt his still heart beat
I was given a single violet of sapphire
By a prince that never came to my rescue
A single repair on the glass

I feared an undead ghost
Who knew my frozen past
I lost the life that I never did have
Shattered, broken, and stained like glass
The single heartbreak of a virgin

The author's comments:
This poem was inspired by the first guy I ever 'fell in love' with. It didn't go very well, and we aren't speaking anymore. But oddly enough, I think this may be some of my best work. I'm pretty sure that every girl has been through this before, so I hope you can all relate to it.

I think that this poem was written very well. Your emotions were all over the words, as it shoulb de. Good job. Keep it up.

WOW! this is obviously from a very deep, sensitive intelligent heart. It takes a lot of strength to expose a heart like that and I stand to applaud this writer
