If I were a knight in shining armor,
I would be invincible.
Nothing could pierce my heart and leave a hole or scar.
I would be immune to hurt.

If I were a knight in shining armor,
I would be fearless.
I would face my enemies without hesitation.
I would be irrepressible.

But, instead I am not a knight in shining armor.
I have lost my armor over time-
Too much heartbreaks and betrayals have stripped me of my armor.
Now I am bare.

I have been stabbed-
Ripped open unwillingly by people blinded by greed.
I have been used-
Lured by selfish beings who mean harm.

One Quick Glance-
You would see a pretty girl
A “perfect” life
With “perfect” friends.

But One Quick Glance is even lying to others.
One Quick Glance says, “I want to be her.”
She says, “That girl has it all.”
But A Deep Look says, “No one is who they appear to be.”
