Three Words
Three simple words said with such ease,
Yet the meaning is far from easy.
Each letter in each word,
Represents more than given recognition for.
It represents more than love or romance,
More than a feeling of pleasure that lasts for a minute.
They represent death and life,
Sickness and health,
They represent longing and desire;
The need to be with something or someone.
So much so that living without it is a difficult as breathing underwater.
These words weren't made for temporary or a short period of time,
These words were made for life.
So the next time you say them,
Remember all they embody,
All that they stand for.
Because saying I love you is not just saying a couple of words,
It's saying a promise,
A life-time commitment,
That should last forever.
