What a Raindrop Revealed
A hunched over figure stumbles through the rain,
Head bent, hands shaking,
His labored breathing can be heard
As he makes his way slowly down the street.
Just across the way, a door bangs open
As the playful shrieks of a young girl
Echo…echo…echo.
A few seconds later,
The small child is racing down the lane,
Followed by a wildly giggling younger brother.
The old man looks on,
Frozen to the spot by the beautiful illustration
Of wild,
Innocent,
Happiness,
As it
Echoes…echoes…echoes.
