I am curious
I wonder where the future goes next
I hear the whispers calling from the past
I see the present taking form in front of me
I want the snake of fear to uncoil me
I am stronger
I pretend the life that goes on is fantasy, but
I feel the awakening pinch of reality
I worry that the future won’t catch me
I cry that no one sees the past in front of me
I am in between
I understand the way back to security
I say those magic words to unbind me
I dream the earth moved on without me
I try to imagine a brighter image when
I hope for a new reality
I am on purpose
