"You can only blame your problems on the world for so long before it all becomes the same old song," Fall Out Boy

It’s blistering cold and
Frost bitten gusts.
It rained throughout last night.

At negative twenty-two
Coffee instantly goes cold.
The streets are spit shined bright.

Walking becomes
A sort of dance.
They’re just trying to cross this street.

He slipped and
She fell.
Mortified in the ice and the sleet.

The author's comments:
The Mortified can be interpreted two ways: Literally (a guy and a girl fell in the snow and were embarrassed), or it could be a representation of their relationship.
