Burst Up In The World

November 16, 2010
By Anonymous

When I dive into the lake,
All at once I feel free,
Swimming with the fish,
My hair floating around me,
It's so calm and refreshing,
Not a sound can be heard,
Just me and the water,
The sand in my toes,
Sunlight glinting off the water,
Until I burst up in the world.

Great poem, I love it! I know exactly what you're talking about. ;) I can't wait to swim again next summer! :D

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take... but by the moments that take your breath away.

This brings me back to summer days. I love to swim, and can relate with the feelingin of being under the water, and then bursting up into the air. Great job with describing it. (: I really like your poem.
