It consumes your room.
You see it forming shadows on your wall.
It’s coming to get you at the dead of night.
When you see it you quake with fright.
Clutch a stuffed animal tight, because you’ll need it to survive the night.
When the darkness of night descends.

I came up with this piece while I was riding in the car late at night. I got my insiration from the pitch blackness of the sky.
