I sit alone steady in the pool of darkness.
I can feel evil’s hands rubbing my back.
Good is somewhere but nowhere to be found.
But maybe one day it will come back
The shadows grip me and my mind
But leave my soul to die
What if I told you that part of the darkness was and is every man’s inner pride?
The first spec of light is seen, and it glows to blind
Eyes are open, searching to find
Hope in the world, in enough time.
I see something; it’s a demon looking at me, seeming lost and confused.
Surprisingly, I’m not scared as it follows my every move.
I move my hand…it moves it’s…I speak…and it moves it’s lips.
Confused at what I see
The light turned on and in the mirror was me.
I am society…

I wrote this in one of those moments where I felt mad at the world and everybody in it. A time where I felt no matter what I did, everything always went bad.
