Sun sets in a bower of golds and cozy pinks
Clouds sweep down like an angels wings
Blush of rose to stain the bleeding blue
Diamond glimmers awake and the suns heaves its last burst of light
Trees silhouettes etch the sky and birds hide away
The chilled air dances round the young moon beams
The moment before night
The moment after day
In-between twilight
A split second of nothing
Dusky underbellies of frothy clouds
A deep crimson rose blooming in the sky
Petals of orange and scarlet
Leaves of soft rose
Crumble into the night
Lives for only a moment but none the same
That moment gone with one sigh
Night descends and the day is dun
Darkness has begun
Time shall pass and life continues until dawns first shafts pierce the sky
And another day will begin
Another sun will set
And the roses will bloom
Each different and exotic
More wondrous than the last

From my window i see the lights of a marvelous sunset fan out and i cannot help but marvel that such beauty comes to us so often and how rarely we can take our eyes away from our hectic lives to just gasp in awe at the beauty of it all.
