when two hearts fight and beat
with rage and hurt.
the beauty of the earth and sky
is cloaked by dark clouds.
leaving the lush green valley
in darkness.
rain falls from the sky and pelts the ground
like the tears streaming from her flawless face.
lightening bolts race across the sky
like the harsh unnecessary words spoken.
the ground is left saturated
and the air cold
but when those two hearts realize
what they both so strongly feel
a sliver of the sun peaks through the angry sky.
