Jesus holds my heart

He will never let it break

Any scars and wounds upon it

He will rid my heart from ache

I fell in love very young

Feeling happy as can be

But then my heart began to break

and Jesus said he's not for me

My tears fell like the rain

Jesus wiped them all away

He comforted me and told me often

"My child, everything will be okay."

Tears still do fall at times

For some wounds I still feel

But I smile and laugh more often

Because Jesus is helping me heal

Yes Jesus holds my heart

And he will never let it break

For any scars and wounds upon it

He will rid me from all the ache
