The sun is drawing near,
The light is almost here.
The warmth on your skin
Will be here soon.
But for now, let's enjoy the moon.

The sun is climbing now,
It's making its way around.
It will greet us in a few hours;
It will be here soon.
But for now, let's enjoy the moon.

Stars are scattered in the regal sky,
Cosmic waves of constellations high,
And the beauty brings tears to your eyes.
But the sun will be here soon.
So for now, we'll enjoy the moon.

We're not alone in this great big world,
You've got your man and I've got my girl.
Change will come and it will go
Confusion and pain will race then slow,
Our strings may not always be tuned,
But the sun is coming soon.
If you will, I'd love for you
To sit here with me
And enjoy the moon.
