a night with no stars
you were like the night.
quiet and restless.
you were the starlight.
the moon came alive near you.
your voice brought comfort to everyone.
you were far from being frightful,
always shouting with color.
light poured from your soul.
bright and clear as crystal.
no language could do you justice.
what used to be the brightest gem
is now just a wandering mind.
i don’t know who you are anymore.
you used to be trapped in color,
but now you're just trapped.
all I see is a gray grieving sky.
it's as if the night is gone.
just like you.
a night with no stars
and a life without you.
