Just Like Before

And all there is, is
Flashing lights
That resonate on the
Darkest nights.
Cops and cars,
As many as stars,
Have knocked on that door.
And what can I hear but
Sirens so loud
And the face I see in
Every crowd.
Miles of road to find
Wounds that are sewed
And each time is like that of before.
