One Play

I love football.
The way you feel great after a great hit,
The feeling of victory,
And the agonizing of losing.

The way you feel great after a great hit,
Like a bull running right through the opponent.
And the agonizing pain of losing,
And it makes you feel like you let your team down.

Like a bull running right through the opponent,
You are going to release all of your anger into that guy.
And it makes you feel like you let your team down,
Because you just missed that tackle.

You are going to release all of your anger into that guy,
But the only problem is that I missed him.
Because you just missed that guy,
You are now sitting on the bench.

But the only problem is that I missed him.
He ran right past me with his little spin move.
And you are now sitting on the bench,
Because of one little play.

He ran right past me with his little spin move,
I should have just stayed my ground,
And because of one little play,
You lost the game for your team.

I should have just stayed my ground,
And feel the way you feel after a great hit.
But you lost the game for your team,
And want the feeling of victory.

I love the repetition of this poem. I really relate to this on a deep level and I find it very touching.

I think this an interesting poem. It explains well how someone can just be so into a sport. The pattern of the poem also helps it flow really well.
