Where I'm from
I am from the…
I am from the rocked stamped patio in the back yard
From the pumpkins creeping into the neighbors yard
I am from cramming each family member in the car for the Sunday drive
From the family farm that dates back 80 years ago
I am from the moments with family and friends that I am reminded
By throughout the days
I am from the birds chirping early in the morning and the frogs talking late at night
I am from the clouds that bring rain
I am from the wings of airplanes that take you miles away from home
I am from the sand people dig their toes into, build sand castles
And the sand that is there for people who want to relax and get away
I am from the soil that flowers grow in
From the woods that people hunt
I am from the water that cools you down on hot days
From the swing set that you grew up on
I am from the screaming kids in the neighborhood
Who scream as loud as they can
