Dance Floor

For you, my friend, I will always listen.
I know you and your very stubborn ways.
If only in a book it was written
To prove I am here through all nights and days
to be that shoulder on which you can lean
when things are bad and you don’t understand
why the times are harsh and people are mean.
My darling, I recognize your pain and
when you are in need, my name you can call.
Sometimes such a large world can feel so strange
that you don’t feel like you exist at all.
But dear friend, that’s the thing about change,
you get another try with each new chance,
life is a dance floor, so learn a new dance.
