Baby's too young

By
I still remember the day
The time, the heat
When a man told me
It was evil, I’d beat

He said there aren’t enough soldiers
And I was in need
And into the war
The troops, I’d lead

I said I would join
How could I know?
That the face of a murderer
Was the one I’d show

I try and I try
To wash my hands clean
And forget
What I have seen

There are no unwounded soldiers
Not a single one
I can never forget
As a child, what I’ve done.
