That Night

running, scared and alone
she can't forget the memories from that night
they haunt her wherever she goes
it's all she thinks about
his face, she sees everywhere
nobody else knows her secret
not even her best friend.
no one sees her tear stained cheeks
they all think shes the happiest girl alive
when she sees him, he smile like it wasn't wrong
and she's dying inside

The author's comments:
this did NOT happen to me. but i wrote this in the perspecitve of a girl who was raped.

i guess, as other people who knew me, took it you can also see it about a guy who broke a girls heart, and how shes feeling.

note that i did intend on it more of the first perspective.

that was a great poem but the true meaning was hidden from me until i read your comment. only after reading it again that i noted how you said "that night" and "secret". pretty good emotion for fiction (:
