Twinkle, Blue Hue and Whoosh
Twinkle, Twinkle says the star
Who lies above me, very far
Gleaming in the sky so bright
Lighting up this cold and dreary night
With the moon’s blue hue tinting my face tonight,
I’m led through the woods by his guiding light
The moon asks, “who’s there?” in a gentle tone
As if crunching leaves let him know that he’s not alone
The wind whispers a “whoosh” that resembles hello
But it’s much too cold and it’s time to go
So I leave the stars, the moon, and the wind
And I walk home with my past worries rescind
My face still stings from the night well spent
Smelling the crisp winter air’s earthy scent
I want to stay out and embrace my sweet love
The stars, the moon, and the wind up above
