"A Spring Day"

The sun rises and falls each day.
At the bay.
On a day of play,
And on a day in the middle of May.

The grass is covered in dew.
It squishes in your shoe
As it sits in our view.

The birds come out chirping.
And the bees come out buzzing.

You can hear the rushing water going through the woods.
I know that bugs would cross if they could.

The trees are so green and tall,
While the bugs are just so small.
The trees fall
But the bugs don’t even get recalled.

The butterflies flutter to the sky.
You could never tell if they let out a cry
Because they’re so shy.

When the suns high
We don’t look at it with a sigh.

As it begins to set,
We begin to forget.

As the sky turns to pink
And our hearts begin to sink.
The day has gone in a blink.
But it comes back around like a skating rink.

It’ll come again
After it comes over the see but then
We’ll just have to make amends.

As the sun fades and the moon shades,
The grasshoppers and crickets and mosquito’s begin to raid.

The smallest sound can be heard.
And nothing shall stir.

The wind picks up speed
And the night shall cede
But the day won’t concede.
That we can all agree.

All over the land, all creatures shall sleep.
Nothing shall creep
In this nature heap.
