The day darkness held my hand.
The day sadness and sorrow sat beside me.
The day shyness separated me from the world.
The day my shadow struck me in the eye,
was the day you brought me back to life.
From showing me to the world,
from slugging sadness and sorrow,
to grabbing my hand from darkness,
but spotted my shadow from striking me in the eye.
You led me into a new life.
